Concrete Shelters
are precast and come in two pieces. The upper half fits over the bottom with a water tight sealed lap. On the outer half of the lap there is a high bond waterproof seal that adheres the two pieces together. This seal is so strong that a crane can lift the top and the bottom will come up with it. These tornado shelters weigh from 10,000 to 12,000 lbs. depending on the size. They are guaranteed not to leak. The door is made of high strength steel with three hinges and three bolts. These units come unpainted. All units have 6 foot of head room. All concrete tornado shelters include two 4 inch stationary vents. We are installing two steel straps bolted together on all of our concrete storm shelters for your peace of mind.
